Welcome to the CATO (Clinical Academic Training Office) website.
CATO was established in the University of Cambridge, School of Clinical Medicine, in 2009 with a remit that included co-ordination of all Clinical Academic Programmes and administration of the MPhil in Clinical Science.
Today, the team and its remit continue to grow and five full-time members of staff co-ordinate activities for those on a clinical academic pathway and a range of other graduate programmes. CATO also administrates the National Institutes for Health Research Cambridge Biomedical Research Centre (NIHR BRC) training programme.
We work with numerous partner organisations to provide the best programmes and opportunities for our trainees and students. The Clinical School is part of Cambridge Biomedical Campus, which provides exciting opportunities to be involved in world-leading research.
At the heart of what we do are the trainees and students, and CATO is a central point of contact and support for them. This comes in many, varied ways but we are always happy to hear from current or potential trainees and students with their concerns and queries.
We hope you can find all the information you need on our site but if you have any further queries, please get in touch.
